Dr. Dubiel is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in Traverse City, Michigan, specializing in shoulder and elbow reconstruction.
He earned his degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Tech before pursuing medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids and then advanced his subspecialty training with a prestigious shoulder and elbow fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
As a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), Dr. Dubiel focuses on the full spectrum of shoulder and elbow care, including shoulder arthroplasty, complex reconstruction, and minimally invasive arthroscopy. He performs surgery at Munson Medical Center.
Born and raised in mid-Michigan, Dr. Dubiel is proud to care for patients across Northern Michigan. His background in mechanical engineering enhances his understanding of joint mechanics and allows him to approach shoulder and elbow reconstruction from both a technical and medical perspective.
Dr. Dubiel has published scientific articles and authored book chapters on shoulder replacement, contributing to advances in modern shoulder arthroplasty. He is board certified, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS), and serves as clinical faculty for Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys mountain biking, fishing, bow hunting, and—most importantly—spending time with his wife and children.
